If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out.The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, and debug CMM programs using various software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and 3D CAD models to create effective inspection routines.Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies to ensure accurate and repeatable data collection.Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product validations using CMMs.Analyze measurement data, generate comprehensive inspection reports, and communicate findings to engineering and production teams.Troubleshoot CMM hardware, software, and programming issues to maintain optimal machine performance.Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to optimize part designs for manufacturability and inspectability.Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment according to established procedures and schedules.Recommended QualificationsProficient in PC-DMIS software, including offline programming and online measurement.Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in metrology.Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications.Experience operating and maintaining various CMM types (e.g., DCC, manual).Demonstrated experience in developing and validating CMM programs for production parts.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and its application in manufacturing.Familiarity with different CMM software platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Ability to train other CMM operators or technicians on basic programming and operation.Experience with vision systems or other non-contact measurement technologies.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, CMM Programmer Analyst, Quality Inspector CMM, Metrology Technician, Quality Control Programmer, CNC CMM Programmer, Dimensional Inspector, Quality Assurance Technician, CMM Operator Programmer, Manufacturing Quality EngineerWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
