If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out.The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, and debug CMM programs using various software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and 3D CAD models to create inspection plans.Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections of manufactured components.Collaborate with quality engineers and manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot non-conforming parts and optimize inspection processes.Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of measurements.Document inspection results, generate reports, and analyze data for continuous improvement initiatives.Train and mentor other quality personnel on CMM operation and programming best practices.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in GD&T principles and application.Expertise in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Strong understanding of metrology and measurement techniques.Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.Experience with various CMM hardware and probe systems.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug CMM programs.Bonus QualificationsExperience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve CMM measurement issues independently.Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and its application to measurement data.Prior experience training or mentoring junior CMM operators/programmers.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, CMM Programmer Analyst, Quality Inspector CMM, Metrology Technician, Quality Assurance CMM Programmer, CNC CMM Programmer, Quality Control CMM Programmer, Manufacturing Quality CMM Programmer, Dimensional Inspector CMMWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
