CMM Operator / ProgrammerWe are seeking a skilled CMM Operator / Programmer to support quality inspection processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure precision and compliance with engineering specifications.This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in quality inspection, GD&T, and CMM programming looking to grow within a stable and team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram and operate CMM equipment using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similarInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create inspection routinesPerform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspectionsAnalyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reportsIdentify and report dimensional issues; collaborate with production and engineering teams on solutionsMaintain calibration and preventative maintenance schedules for CMM equipmentEnsure compliance with ISO, ASME, and customer quality standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and productionQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required (technical degree or certification preferred)2–3+ years of CMM programming and/or operating experience in manufacturingProficiency with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent)Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and 3D CAD modelsExperience in metal fabrication, CNC machining, or precision manufacturing preferredStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentPhysical & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as neededComfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment (noise, dust, temperature changes)Must follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPEEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
