Cloud Native System EngineerKey Responsibilities: Candidate is responsible for building and maintaining the cloud native system. Candidate must readily adapt to changing requirements; keep up-to-date on emerging technologies; and be ready to help implement these new products and technologies to enhance the system.Technical Requirements:Experience with Linux (Red Hat and CentOS desired)Enterprise Service – Active Directory, LDAP, DNSSystem security, hardening, and accreditation (e.g. DCID 6/3, ICD-503)Automated OS and cloud infrastructure installationCloud virtualizationConfiguration and use of – nat, dns, ldap, nis, nfs, iptables, free ipaSystem performance monitoring, and tuningPerforming, monitoring, and designing system backup plansCreate, debug, and enhance scripts (e.g.
bash, csh, Perl, ruby, python, expect)Automate repetitive tasksBasic knowledge of switching, routing, IP addressing, and networksExperience with multicastTrain others on system maintenance dutiesSource code control systems, both use and administration (cvs, subversion, git)Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Gluster, CephEducation:A Bachelor's degree in computer related discipline is desired but not mandatory.
