In this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of use cases where Apache Airflow sits at the center of the solution. The impacts you will make will enable customers to rapidly grow their businesses by adopting Astronomer products to meet their goals.What You Get To DoImplement Astronomer's software and services in the core of some of the world's largest businesses and organizations.Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeysAct as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product to ensure that the broader solution around the platform is solving pain points and bringing value to customers.What You Bring To The RoleStrong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred)Expertise in at least one programming language.Good understanding of network complexities and architecturesVersatile Terminal and CLI user, this will be a hands-on role, frequently without access to a GUIExperience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systemsExperience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scaleExperience with at least one major cloud provider API/toolingAbility to read codeWork effectively with gitCloud-native data architecture experienceStrong customer facing skillsStrong oral and written communications skills - should be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical folks succinctlyBonus Points If You HavePrior experience using or administering Apache Airflow, Autosys, UC4, Temporal, Dagster, or PrefectProficiency in Python/Go.Enterprise data experience with or in regulated environmentsExperience with scripting/automation specifically infra (Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)5+ years experience in a data engineering role or equivalent3+ years in a customer-facing roleExperience with ElasticSearch/Prometheus/VaultThe estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $175,000 - $240,000 based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package.
