Leading a team of security engineers, the full-time remote Cloud Security Engineering Manager will oversee the security of Airbnb's cloud infrastructure and data platforms, set the technical direction, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security practices. Key responsibilities Lead and develop a team focused on cloud infrastructure security, data security, and identity access controls Drive the team's roadmap in alignment with organizational security priorities while balancing automation and partnership Guide the team through complex architectural decisions and communicate technical direction to senior leadership Required qualifications 9+ years of engineering experience, with 5+ years in security engineering and 3+ years in people management Proven leadership in security engineering teams working on cloud infrastructure or data security at scale Deep understanding of modern cloud security practices, including IAM and network security Experience with Kubernetes, container security, and cloud-native detection controls Strong partnership skills and ability to communicate technical decisions to executive audiences
