Job Summary
The position involves evaluating security documentation, supporting accreditation, implementing cloud security architectures, working with IC clients, and leveraging cloud technologies to improve security.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes for IT systems.
- Assist in defining desired state and risk thresholds, analyze actual state information for compliance.
- Advise on codifying strategic objectives into doctrine and procedures.
- Evaluate computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs for software assurance best practices.
- Recommend tools and capabilities based on research of current environment and knowledge of on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.
- Implement cloud security architectures, tools, and processes.
- Work with IC clients to ensure standards are met with security requirements.
- Collaborate with cloud security experts to secure environments using latest cloud technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and administering cloud environments, utilizing cloud-native functionality as well as COTs, GOTS, and open source tools.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure code concepts such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Experience with developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans.
- Experience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or Associate’s degree and 5+ years, or Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years, or Master’s degree and 1+ years.
- Ability to obtain a DoD -M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support (CSSP-IS) Certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND within 30 days of offer accept.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+), CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP within 45 days of CSSP-IS date or offer accept if already certified.
