Overview
We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer - Enterprise Data Security in the United States. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to strengthen enterprise data security across cloud and on-premises environments, implementing, managing, and optimizing data loss prevention (DLP) solutions and data security platforms to protect sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage enterprise‑grade DLP solutions to safeguard sensitive data.
- Support data discovery, classification, and mapping across systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and optimize data privacy platforms for DSAR workflows, opt‑outs, cookie/GPC compliance, and enterprise integrations.
- Collaborate with IT, Security, GRC, and business teams to define data protection strategies and remediate compliance gaps.
- Serve as the escalation point for high‑severity data security issues and inquiries.
- Analyze and investigate alerts from DLP and related security systems, providing actionable insights to executive partners.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, policies, sensitivity labels, and DLP rule sets across platforms.
- Mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior associates on data security practices and technologies.
- Monitor system performance, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless integration of security platforms.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in enterprise data security.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security, privacy, or DLP‑focused roles.
- BA/BS degree preferred in a relevant field.
- Hands‑on experience with data privacy platforms (e.g., Securiti, BigID, OneTrust).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Purview DLP, Azure Information Protection, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or GCP.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
- Strong proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring and upskilling junior team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate across functions.
