Overview

We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer - Enterprise Data Security in the United States. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to strengthen enterprise data security across cloud and on-premises environments, implementing, managing, and optimizing data loss prevention (DLP) solutions and data security platforms to protect sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage enterprise‑grade DLP solutions to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Support data discovery, classification, and mapping across systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and optimize data privacy platforms for DSAR workflows, opt‑outs, cookie/GPC compliance, and enterprise integrations.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, GRC, and business teams to define data protection strategies and remediate compliance gaps.
  • Serve as the escalation point for high‑severity data security issues and inquiries.
  • Analyze and investigate alerts from DLP and related security systems, providing actionable insights to executive partners.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, policies, sensitivity labels, and DLP rule sets across platforms.
  • Mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior associates on data security practices and technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, optimize workflows, and ensure seamless integration of security platforms.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in enterprise data security.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data security, privacy, or DLP‑focused roles.
  • BA/BS degree preferred in a relevant field.
  • Hands‑on experience with data privacy platforms (e.g., Securiti, BigID, OneTrust).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Purview DLP, Azure Information Protection, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools.
  • Strong proficiency with Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring and upskilling junior team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate across functions.
