Cloud DevSecOps Engineer - Remote - Octopus by RTG

Role Purpose:

TheCloud DevSecOps Engineeris responsible for designing, implementing, and securing cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The role ensures seamless automation, robust security integration, and efficient monitoring of systems across OCI and GCP environments to enable secure, scalable, and high-performing applications.

CI/CD Pipeline & DevSecOps

• Design, build, and secure CI/CD pipelines usingGitHub Actions.

• Integrate automated security testing (SAST/DAST) usingSonarQubeand related tools.

• Implement and manageGitOps workflowsfor continuous delivery usingArgoCD.

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, build, and securecloud infrastructureonOCI and GCPusingTerraform.
• Automate configuration and security hardening tasks usingAnsible.
• Develop and maintainautomation scriptsand performsystem administrationusingBash.
• Secure and manage container orchestration platforms includingOracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE)andGoogle Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

QA Automation Enablement

• Collaborate with theQA teamto integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Enable automated execution of QA tests to act as quality gates before deployment.

Observability & Monitoring

• Build and manage the enterpriseobservability and monitoring stackusingSplunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Developdashboards, alerts, and incident response playbooksfor performance and security monitoring.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Engineering,Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

Experience

• 3+ yearsof hands-on experience inDevOps or Cloud Engineering.
• Proven expertise inDevSecOps principlesandSoftware Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong proficiency inBash scriptingandautomation with Ansible.
• Deep understanding ofcloud security architectureandnative security servicesonOCIandGCP.
• Extensive experience withInfrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Advanced skills inCI/CD designusingGitHub ActionsandGitOpstools likeArgoCD.
• Hands-on experience inKubernetes (OKE/GKE)setup and security.
• Practical experience withsecurity scanning tools(SonarQube, SAST, DAST).
• Strong knowledge ofobservability platforms(Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Familiarity withautomated functional testing frameworksand integration into DevOps pipelines.
