Summary

The GCP Platform Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize GCP resources, ensuring high availability and performance for applications and services.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Terraform to enhance deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and deploy scalable and secure cloud-based applications.
• Establish and enforce IAM policies, ensuring compliance with security best practices and organizational policies.
• Monitor system performance using tools such as Stackdriver, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Conduct capacity planning and resource management to align cloud infrastructure with business needs.
• Provide technical support and training to team members on Google Cloud best practices and solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest GCP features and trends, evaluating their potential impact on our operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• years of experience in cloud administration, specifically in Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
• Strong knowledge of networking and security in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
