Patient Care CoordinatorDefy is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to add to our growing team. The Medical Assistant Team plays a pivotal role in the patient care plan. Through patience, integrity, communication, and understanding a Medical Administrator will guide our patients to feeling better and improving their lives.

A Medical Administrator at Defy is outgoing and enjoys helping people. They can adapt and learn new computer programs quickly. Multitasking, communication, and critical thinking are pillars for a Medical Administrator.

Patient care is the key element to being successful in this role.ResponsibilitiesProcessing ordersPhone triage patients throughout the country via telemedicineWalking patients through administering injections to themselvesTake incoming calls in med staff queueComplete letter of medical necessities, travel lettersCommunicating via email/phone with providers, patients, and staffAssist patients with ordering productsSending C/O through Med portalExplaining treatment procedures to patients and providing follow up educationHandle high volume outbound and inbound callsMultitasking skills through EMR, Med queue, and other systemsPhone and email etiquetteQualificationsProficient in medical terminology1 + years' experience in healthcare setting requiredAssociate degree preferred but not requiredPharmaceutical experience encouraged1+ years of experience in a Healthcare settingExcellent interpersonal and communication skills via email and verbalProficient in computer skills (Outlook/Microsoft) and EMR systemsMultitasking and system navigation skillsCoachable and a team playerShifts Available (Training is 4-6 weeks from 8:00am-4:45pm.) :Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:45pmMonday-Friday 11:30am-8:15pmMonday-Friday 12:00pm-8:45pmMonday-Friday 12:15-9:00pmCompensation: starting $18.50/hr (not negotiable)BenefitsPTOPaid HolidaysMedicalDentalHealth insuranceEmployee Discount on services*Benefits are subject to change at any time
