How you'll make an impact in this role
- Lead specialized pharmacy care by reviewing complex medication orders to prevent drug-related problems and ensure optimal patient outcomes in areas like oncology and cardiology.
- Consult as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding clinical leadership and cross-functional teams to elevate medication safety and therapeutic protocols system-wide.
- Oversee technical personnel, ensuring precise compounding and dispensing of specialized medications for accurate and timely delivery of patient care.
- Mentor the next generation of pharmacy professionals by serving as a preceptor for students, contributing to academic growth and knowledge sharing.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacist credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
What additional requirements you'll need
- PGY2 Residency in Pediatric or Adult Hematology/Oncology or equivalent work experience
- Board certification in Pediatrics and/or Hematology/Oncology
