About the Role: We’re looking for a driven, reliable, and experienced Clinical Specialist to support their Area in meeting sales and patient service objectives by providing reliable technical, educational, operational, and sales support. Axonics seeks action-driven candidates who will meet patient and customer expectations through reliability and quality in our products, processes, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Establishes, develops, and maintains positive business relationships with customers and patients.
- Provides clinical support in surgeries, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.
- Uses clinical expertise, market and product knowledge to advance growth opportunities.
- Provides exceptional customer service to all customers.
- Educates customers staff on technical matters relating to Axonics products and therapies.
- Completes proper patient care documentation in Axonics Patient Care Management (PCM) system.
- Makes and receives patient calls/texts through the Axonics PCM system; some calls may occur after hours and weekends.
- Partners with Area Director and Territory Managers to understand market dynamics and local customer needs; articulates how Axonics products offer value to patients.
- Contributes to quarterly goals related to area or national initiatives.
- Assists with education and training of new employees.
- Manages inventory for case coverage and trunk stock.
- Expedites resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Coordinates sales and marketing efforts with team members and other departments.
- Visits accounts regularly to replenish literature and maintains relationships with office staff.
- Works with Territory Managers to drive sales growth in target accounts and key areas.
- Participates in territory sales activities (e.g., customer lunch and learns, community education sessions, seminars, quarterly business reviews).
- Provides management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and opportunities for new products or services.
- Keeps abreast of best practices and promotional trends and maintains high level of clinical, market, and product knowledge.
- Completes all assigned training in a timely manner and seeks continuous improvement through feedback.
- Manages personal expenses per company policy and reports monthly in the expense system.
- Maintains proper credentials for hospital systems in the area.
- Up to 50% travel, including some overnight travel; work hours may vary to support case coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma; bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel regionally to support clinical needs.
- Confidence and professionalism in high-stakes clinical environments (ORs, clinics).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the medical device industry or minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in urology as a registered nurse.
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
Compensation and Travel
The anticipated annual base range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $95,000, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan and the value of core and optional benefits. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
