Job Description: The Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical team, optimizing treatments for clients, overseeing the professional development of clinicians, and ensuring that a high standard of care is provided to patients.
The Clinical Services Supervisor will work with staff members, mentoring them and helping them develop their skills. In addition to administrative duties, this role will assist with treating, assessing, monitoring, and developing a comprehensive plan to meet the needs of clients while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency.
Essential Functions:
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, provides direction, and oversees the work of assigned staff.
- Provides training in proper work methods and procedures, participates in performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
- Performs professional mental health and substance use disorder services with clients in treatment.
- Provides individual, group, and family therapy services.
- Assesses and monitors client’s progress and behavior while in treatment.
Competencies:
- Principles, procedures, techniques, trends of clinical and casework services, therapy, and treatment.
- Social aspects and characteristics of mental and emotional disturbances and substance use disorders.
- Leadership skills that may include program development, compliance, and oversight while supporting other staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversight of clinical staff as assigned and provides clinical supervision for Associate Therapists.
Work Environment: Office and Health care setting with clients and other employees present.
Physical Demands: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Qualifications:
- Must obtain and maintain a license as a mental health professional regulated by a state board (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC).
- Have at least two years of experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling.
- Very familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
- Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.
Compensation details: $104,333 - $155,000 Yearly Salary
