The Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for coordinating and overseeing clinical research operations for assigned clinical trials. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong clinical background and experience in research, who are looking to contribute to advancing healthcare.

What You'll Do
- Assist the principal investigator in preparing proposed clinical trials.
- Ensure timely submission of protocol revisions and informed consents to the IRB.
- Act as a liaison between principal investigators and sub-investigators on regulatory issues.
- Participate in the review of studies for feasibility and evaluate potential competition.
- Finalize budget drafts with the budget coordinator.
- Recruit and evaluate potential study patients.
- Review medical records for potential study patients.
- Instruct potential study patients and caregivers on aspects of care and trials.
- Document study patients' medical history per protocol guidelines.
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor study patients' progress during trials.
Requirements
- Education:
- BSN required
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience or 1 year of clinical nursing experience with an additional 2 years of clinical research experience
- Licenses & Certifications:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
- Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred
- Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) preferred
- Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) preferred
