Clinical Psychologist

As a Clinical Psychologist with GuideStar Eldercare, you will provide neuro-behavioral health services to residents in long-term care facilities, partnering with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, continuous care for the elderly affected by neurocognitive disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation of residents.
• Establish differential diagnoses (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, vascular).
• Conduct cognitive assessments.
• Deliver condition-specific support therapy or insight-based therapy as indicated.
• Coordinate the patient’s care plan with the facility, PCP, GuideStar colleagues, and engage with families as needed.

Qualifications

• Active state Psychologist license.
• Passion for geriatric populations and interest in neurobehavioral science.
• Desire to make a difference in a population struggling with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neurodegenerative disorders.
• HSPP preferred in applicable states.
