This position provides Clinical Psychology services in the Behavioral Health Service of the Fort Peck Service Unit in Poplar, MT. The incumbent reports to the Director of Support Services.

Responsibilities

  1. Providing clinical and preventative services to children and families, including individual and group psychotherapy, mental status evaluations, crisis intervention, suicide assessments, psychological testing, and consultation with a multidisciplinary team.
  2. Providing outpatient individual, group, and family psychotherapy in a clinical setting.
  3. Conducting psychological evaluations for emotional and psychiatric disorders.
  4. Coordinating services with providers, agencies, families, and individuals, including outreach and service delivery in community settings such as schools, hospitals, correctional facilities, and patient residences.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Selective Service Registration (for males born after 12/31/1959)
  • Immunizations: Measles, Rubella, and seasonal influenza as required
  • Medical staff privileges and licensure requirements
  • Background check and fingerprinting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a state license as a Clinical Psychologist

Qualifications

Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in psychology, with completion of all requirements for clinical psychology positions at GS-11 and above. For GS-13, one year of specialized experience in a mental health setting providing psychological evaluations and treatments, using electronic health records, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Must possess an active, unrestricted state license as a Clinical Psychologist.

Education

Degree from an accredited institution. Transcripts are recommended for verification. Foreign education must be accompanied by a Foreign Credential Evaluation.
