Role and Responsibilities
As a Clinical Psychologist for the ND State Hospital (NDSH), you will provide a broad array of services, involving complex cases requiring advanced expertise. Your primary duties will include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments.
- Providing psychotherapy to clients.
- Serving as an expert examiner in court testimony.
- Participating in consultation and training with individuals, families, agency staff, and, at times, community partners.
- Assisting with student supervision (optional).
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Psychology.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners, in accordance with North Dakota Century Code Chapter 43‑32.
- At least two (2) years of experience as a licensed psychologist (or comparable experience).
- Experience in forensic assessment and conducting evaluations is advantageous.
- Experience in consultation and training is beneficial.
- For non‑fully licensed candidates: eligible for a supervised psychological residency (Psychology Resident) or a Licensed Psychologist I.

Location
ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position requires face‑to‑face client services and the ability to travel to meet clients at their locations.
