Clinical Programs Coordinator RN (Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac, and SANE) - Emergency Room, Full-Time, Day ShiftIsland Health is searching for an experienced Clinical Programs Coordinator RN at our hospital in Anacortes, WA.Work Schedule:1 FTE: 40 hr/wkDay ShiftSalary Ranges: $38.42-$57.62Clinical Programs Coordinator RN Job Responsibilities:Coordination of resources and activities necessary to ensure Trauma Services, Stroke Services and Cardiac services meet regulatory requirements.Coordinates the collection of Trauma data and maintains statistical information for the Trauma Registry.Coordinates the collection of Stroke data and maintains statistical information.Responsible for helping to prepare, submit and organize activities associated with the trauma designation application. Responsible for Cardiac and Stroke applications.Coordinates all planning and implementation of clinical protocols/practice management guidelines for trauma patients, stroke patients and cardiac patients.Serves as in-house clinical resource for trauma, stroke and cardiac related issues and care.Responds to Emergency Department for all trauma activations and Code Strokes when in-house and as requested by ED staff.Assumes administrative responsibility for the trauma program including but not limited to; policies, procedures, budget, billing, performance improvement and accurate record keeping.Oversees and develops trauma registrar staff. Manages required training, development and evaluation of assigned staff.Coordinates educational opportunities for staff and the community on trauma, stroke and cardiac topics.Attends, participates in and coordinates all Trauma Program Meetings.

Collaborates with Trauma Medical Director in the Trauma Committee Meeting.Participates in monthly QI/Operational meetings with TeleStroke partners.Coordinates with local transfer hospitals on the clinical outcomes for Trauma, Stroke and Cardiac patients transferred to higher levels of care from Island Hospital.Assists director in review of trauma, stroke and cardiac metrics and case reviews in the ED Committee - performs continuous quality improvement activities for Trauma, Stroke and Cardiac.Provides injury prevention to the communityActs as a liaison with other agencies to optimize the care of trauma patients, stroke patients and cardiac patients.Confers with Medical Staff Coordinator to ensure provider education compliance on all regulatory requirements for trauma, stroke and cardiac.Assists with new staff orientation related to trauma, stroke and cardiac care at Island Hospital.Attends and participates in appropriate county and state meetings as a representative of Island Hospital.Performs other duties as assigned.Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program Coordinator Duties:Assumes administrative responsibility for the SANE program including but not limited to; policies, procedures, protocols, performance improvement, accurate record keeping according to WA State regulations.Acts as a resource in current state legislation and maintains knowledge to ensure program functioning.Prepares and provides information to SANE trained RN Staff.Collaborates with accredited SANE programs in our region to facilitate staff SANE training in our area.Provides quarterly program updates to the Director of Nursing.Maintains supplies and equipment as needed to conduct forensic examinations.Attends and participates in appropriate county and state meetings.Establishes good relationship with community resource personnel and provides feedback, as needed, to law enforcement and prosecutors' offices.Skills/Qualifications:Proficiency in Collector-Client program and Report Writer or attend training for these within 6 months of taking the role.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, and Outlook.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must have demonstrated ability to interact positively with Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors.Job Requirements:Current Washington State RN LicenseCurrent TNCC CertificationCurrent PALS or ENPC CertificationMinimum of 3 years recent RN experience in an Emergency or Intensive Care Department.Ability to travel to meetings throughout Skagit County and WA stateWork Environment:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to inside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The employee may be exposed to dust, pollens, pollutants, fumes and communicable diseases as related to a health care environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Physical Demands:While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, and have hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone.

The employee is often required to sit for potentially long periods of time throughout the workday. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arm.
