Clinical Program AssistantThe Clinical Program Assistant provides ethical and professional support to the Clinical Team at Harbor Light.
Responsibilities include administrative tasks to aid overall operations. The Clinical Program Assistant collaborates with the clinical team to support all program participants.Duties and Responsibilities:Attend meetings, trainings, and case conferences; take minutes as neededRepresent Harbor Light Center and coordinate with community partnersConduct and document intake assessments under supervision; collect key participant information while clinical staff complete diagnoses and recommendationsEnter data in EHR systems like EPIC and WellSky; manage reports and recordsPromote abstinence, harm reduction, and participant empowermentSupport counselors with documentation, attendance, and statisticsEnsure compliance with care standards, confidentiality, and grievance policiesServe as a mandated reporter for suspected abuseRefer participants to internal and external resources and providersRespond to emergencies and assist with evacuationsEnforce program policies and medication complianceMaintain monthly statistics and class documentation in WellSkyOther related duties as requiredEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Experience in behavioral health, substance use, mental health, or related fields (2 years required)Current AOD Certification or Registration pursuant to CA Code of Regulations, Title 9 § 13010 (preferred)Experience helping individuals with substance use, mental health, or life challengesExperience with Microsoft programsFirst Aid and CPR certification (within first fourteen days of employment – company provided)Tuberculosis clearance (within first seven days of employment – company provided)Skills and Abilities:Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)Knowledge of clinical documentation (preferred)Integrity and ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential mannerExcellent organizational skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to work with a diverse populationEquipment Used:Modern Office Equipment and Relevant SoftwarePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
