This position is located at our Cancer Center North Campus. MD Anderson Cancer Center is looking for a clinically trained pharmacist to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings on a rotating basis.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement and maintain clinical pharmacy services for the cellular therapy program.
- Play a significant role in developing treatment and supportive care protocols and network policies.
- Participate in disease‑specific tumor boards, research/clinical trials, and precept students and residents.
Qualifications
- Experience working in pharmacy, knowledge of treatment modalities, and dedication to patient care.
- Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and visitors.
- Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the area.
- Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy, Bachelor or PharmD; Doctorate degree.
- Indiana Pharmacist license.
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP), preferred.
- Successfully completed PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology, preferred.
