Job Description Summary
The clinical pharmacy specialist will work within our outpatient clinics to help optimize patient outcomes and participate in interprofessional collaboration. This position reports to an Ambulatory Pharmacy Manager and collaborates closely with the clinic’s healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Work within outpatient clinics to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in interprofessional collaboration with the clinic’s healthcare professionals.
- Provide safe and efficient patient care.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited school.
- PGY1 residency required; PGY2 in Ambulatory Care, equivalent experience, or board certification preferred.
- Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency program or two years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience may substitute for residency.
Licensure, Certifications, Registrations
- Licensed Registered Pharmacist with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
Work Schedule & Compensation
Full‑time equivalent (up to 40 hours weekly). As a part‑time FTE, the position is not eligible for benefits.
