Position Overview
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an experienced and clinically driven Clinical Pharmacy Manager to provide leadership and oversight for pharmacy services supporting the Kidney Transplant Programs.

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will play a critical role in optimizing medication therapy, improving patient outcomes, leading clinical initiatives, mentoring pharmacy staff, and advancing research and education within the transplant service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical pharmacy leader supporting the Kidney Transplant programs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary transplant rounds and provide evidence-based pharmacotherapy recommendations.
- Collaborate with transplant physicians, surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication management.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, medication-use evaluations, treatment guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor medication safety, adverse drug reactions, therapeutic outcomes, and cost-effective medication utilization.
- Provide drug information and medication education to providers, patients, caregivers, pharmacy staff, residents, and students.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and evaluate clinical pharmacy staff while supporting hiring, onboarding, and professional development.
- Participate in research activities, clinical publications, presentations, and multidisciplinary committees.
- Assist with pharmaceutical budget forecasting, formulary management, and operational planning.
- Promote continuous quality improvement and support departmental strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.
- New York State Pharmacist License (or eligibility to obtain licensure within three months of hire).
- Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacotherapy.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Experience managing complex clinical pharmacy services.
Preferred
- PGY1 Residency required; PGY2 Residency in Solid Organ Transplant, Critical Care, or a related specialty strongly preferred.
- Previous leadership or Clinical Pharmacy Manager experience.
- Board Certification (BCPS or specialty certification preferred).
- Experience supporting Kidney Transplant patients in an academic medical center.
- Demonstrated involvement in clinical research, publications, quality improvement, and pharmacy education.
