Clinical Pharmacist Specialist – Inpatient Hematology/Oncology (Multiple Positions)
Boston, MA | Employer: Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center | Full‑time, rotating schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and review individualized treatment plans.
- Provide clinical oversight and verify medication orders to ensure safe, effective, and cost‑effective therapy.
- Precept pharmacy students, residents, and supervise technicians within the pharmacist area of practice.
- Provide patient education and discharge counseling.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies, protocols, and treatment guidelines.
- Support education, quality improvement initiatives, and research aligned with the Cancer Center’s mission, including participation in interdisciplinary committees and IRB‑approved research activities.
- Maintain documentation and communication with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- PGY‑1 + 1–3 years OR PGY‑2 OR 3–5 years of experience in a clinical specialty area.
Preferred Qualifications
- BPS certification.
Compensation
Pay Range: $63.12 – $84.96 per hour. Compensation is based on factors such as seniority, education, experience, and role responsibilities. Additional pay may be earned through shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime, and other applicable practices in accordance with the law.
Additional Information
Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus. All staff are required to be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
