Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, ensures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication‑related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory standards in executing job responsibilities.
Position Details
Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Experience
Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
