This is an exceptional leadership opportunity within a rapidly expanding, cutting-edge oncology practice. As the Pharmacy Manager, you will bridge operational leadership with deep clinical expertise to shape pharmacy operations, oversee sterile compounding (clean room) environments, and influence organizational growth. You will play a key role in supporting advanced cancer therapies, overseeing clinical trials support, and leading a dedicated team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

  • Status: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE (Standard clinic/business hours)
  • Salary Range: $115,175.00 – $239,211.00 (Depending on experience)

Core Responsibilities

Pharmacy Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee all pharmacy services, daily operations, and establish departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage pharmacy staff, including recruiting, training, developing, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor resource allocation, and ensure financial stewardship.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for the Prior Authorization team and collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and administrative leadership.

Clinical & Clean Room Oversight

  • Supervise clinical pharmacist activities, including providing oversight for Clinical/MedKeeper pharmacists.
  • Update and maintain IV admixture mixing guidelines and perform pharmacist/technician duties as needed.
  • Review and approve new drug updates and clinical pharmacist write-ups.

Compliance, Quality, & Research

  • Oversee REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) compliance and conduct pharmacy audits to ensure absolute regulatory alignment.
  • Provide clinical support for research initiatives, clinical trials, and collect/report pharmacy-related data.
  • Conduct pharmacoeconomic research, statistical analysis, and develop models for cancer treatment options.
  • Manage drug purchasing systems, billing procedures, and oversee strict inventory control.

Position Requirements

Required Credentials & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
  • Minimum 5 years of Clinical Pharmacist and/or Clean Room (IV Admixture) experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct leadership/management experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of clinical pharmacy operations, clean room/IV admixture processes (USP <797/><800>), drug purchasing, billing, regulatory compliance, and REMS programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oncology pharmacy experience (BCOP is a plus).
  • Specialty retail pharmacy experience.
  • Experience supporting clinical trials and using MedKeeper.
  • Proven background in budget management, pharmacoeconomic modeling, and developing pharmacy policies.
