Position Purpose
The Inpatient Pharmacist ensures the safe, effective, and compliant use of medications by performing both clinical and distributive functions. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders for appropriateness, supervising sterile and non-sterile compounding, conducting medication history reviews, and providing drug information and evidence-based recommendations to the care team. The pharmacist supports disease management, promotes medication adherence, and educates patients and caregivers. This role also coordinates workflow and staffing, supervises pharmacy personnel, maintains formulary and inventory, and ensures accurate preparation, dispensing, and documentation of medications in compliance with all regulatory and institutional requirements, while supporting overall department operations.

Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is the sole community hospital. The pharmacy department encompasses over 60 employees and serves our population’s health. We provide a full suite of pharmacy care services from acute care and transitions into emergency services, ambulatory, home, and telehealth care areas. The focus is to optimize and integrate services, including Inpatient, Emergency Department direct patient care, Care Transitions, outpatient and specialty pharmacy distribution, 340B Program, oncology clinical model expansion, PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, Stewardship-Antimicrobial and Opioid, and expansion of pharmacist collaborative practice model Disease Management Clinic.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate Degree
- Licensed in the State of Arizona or eligible for Arizona licensure
Work Requirements
Must be able to distinguish color. Work involves approximately 37% sitting; 30% standing; 33% walking; and carrying/lifting 25–75 pounds. Duties may expose employees to blood, body fluids or tissues, and chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances.
