An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support a 250-bed hospital equipped with EPIC and Omnicell systems. This contract role offers hands-on involvement in critical pharmacy operations, ensuring quality patient care through medication management and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with protocols
- Conduct pharmacokinetic evaluations to optimize drug therapy plans
- Consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication-related issues and recommendations
- Maintain thorough documentation and support pharmacy operations aligned with hospital policies
- Valid Missouri pharmacist license required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with clinical settings
- Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and medication therapy management
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as EPIC and automated dispensing tools like Omnicell is advantageous
Location: Rolla, Missouri
Schedule: Flexible to start as soon as possible, on a 13-week contract basis
