Two inpatient pharmacist positions are available at a hospital near Elkhart, IN (just outside South Bend, IN). This 13-week contract opportunity begins June 1 and offers the following shifts:
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Day/Evening Shift: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders using Cerner Meds Manager Order Verification system
- Manage inpatient pharmacy distribution using Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems
- Prepare IV medications including antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes in the IV room
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing
- Proficiency in Cerner order verification required
- Familiarity with inpatient hospital pharmacy operations, including IV preparation
- Experience using Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems
- Accepting new graduates who have Cerner order verification experience
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Commitment to accuracy and patient safety
