Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and ensure safe daily operations for an assigned patient care team
- Conduct clinical review of pharmacotherapy (drug utilization review, interactions, side effects, dosing support)
- Document clinical assessments and interventions in the patient chart / pharmacy system
- Counsel patients on new therapy, administration, adherence, and expected outcomes
- Coordinate care with prescribers, caregivers, and nursing teams to support therapy initiation and continuity
- Support REMS requirements and follow program SOPs and clinical management models
- Ensure compliance with state/federal pharmacy laws, payer requirements (including Medicare/Medicaid), and internal policies
- Verify prescription accuracy, quality assurance checks, and workflow correctness prior to dispensing
- Assist technicians with claim adjudication support and patient payment communication when needed
- Participate in adverse event/product complaint intake and appropriate reporting
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing (must be licensed in TX, NC, or KY)
- 3-5+ years post-graduate pharmacist experience (clinical oversight + pharmacy operations)
- Strong patient counseling skills (phone-based counseling experience is a plus)
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy workflows, prior authorization/benefits navigation exposure preferred
- Experience with clinical documentation and medication therapy management best practices
- Excellent attention to detail, medication safety mindset, and strong written/verbal communication
- Must live within 1 hour driving distance of Fort Worth, TX 76177 for onsite requirement
- Ability to work in a production-focused specialty pharmacy environment with measurable performance expectations
