Equity Staffing Group is currently staffing a Clinical Pharmacist for on-site position in Cheektowaga, NY 14225. This is a contract to hire position. Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Rate: $90/Hr

Start Date: ASAP

Important: Must have active Pharmacist license in State of New York

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility will be compounding both hazardous and non-hazardous medications for use in one of our Infusion Centers that are located at a different location. Once compounded, the IV medications will be transported to the Infusion Centers

There will also be some verification of orders prior to preparation in Epic

These orders may include medication used to support patient care in the peri-infusion timeframe. There will also be an inventory management component based on replacement of inventory utilized and anticipated upcoming cases

Orders for medications are handled by purchasing

Hours: We expect that the day would start at 7 AM and conclude at approximately 3 PM, thought there may be instances of needing to stay beyond this timeframe in the interest of patient. As workflow at the Infusion Centers is developed and refined, changes to the daily hours may need to be changed. One of the Infusion Centers in brand new with double the chairs as previously and both of the Infusion Centers will be experiencing volume increases and changes, incorporating two existing oncology practices into our infusion services

Requirements:

Compounding both hazardous and non-hazardous medications

Familiarity with procedures related to donning and doffing of protective garb, handwashing, maintenance of hood cleanliness throughout the day and any other procedures related to USP 797 and 800 standards

Familiarity with billing related issues such as waste, J-codes, etc.

Familiarity with the process of approving/verifying orders in the EHR prior to compounding

Familiarity with dose verification and checking

Communication with providers as necessary relative to dosing, dose/rate adjustments or any information that emerges when reviewing patient information in Epic

Familiarity with various formulary management procedures such as dose rounding, product substitutions, volume adjustments based on approved protocols, etc.

Min Education: Bachelor\'s Degree OR Pharm D
