Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy, or Bachelor of Science with Residency, or equivalent experience required.
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in the State of Massachusetts.
- Two years experience as a Registered Pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills required.
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing drug distribution.
- Complete knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics.
- Knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, compatibilities, drug interactions, drug therapy, toxicology and dosing parameters.
- Knowledge of literature and reference sources.
- Ability to instruct others.
- Must be able to review medication therapies for appropriate dose for patients from neonates to geriatrics.
- Knowledge of pharmacokinetic dosing, AHA/ACC Guidelines, IDS Guidelines, ACCP Guidelines, medication reconciliation, nutritional support, and adverse drug reaction reporting is required.
