Clinical Pharmacist
Work location: 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort. Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: Rotating shift, 6:30am-3pm, 7am-3:30pm OR 12:30pm-9pm, 1:30pm-10pm OR 10:15am-6:45pm; some overnights to help cover vacation; some holidays.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
- Pharm D. required.
- CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
- PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
- 3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
- Highly preferred PGY1 residency completion (or equivalence).
- Experience working in an inpatient acute care setting highly preferred.
- IV certification highly preferred.
- Must be proficient in written and verbal English, computer proficient, and possess basic math skills.
Responsibilities
- Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role‑modeling teamwork.
- Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
- Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
- Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
- Ongoing professional development and growth.
- Manage one's own time and share responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs and discovering new process efficiencies.
- Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.
- Other duties as assigned.
