Job Title: Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacist

Pay: From $60.35 to $93.54 per hour (based on experience)

Hours: Full-time Day Shift with rotating weekends

What You'll Do

As a Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacist, you will:

  • Review, verify, and manage medication orders to ensure safe and effective therapy
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services and pharmacotherapy recommendations for a variety of patient populations
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds alongside physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
  • Support medication therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consult services
  • Assist with antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and clinical interventions
  • Educate patients, providers, nurses, pharmacy staff, and the community on medication-related topics
  • Mentor pharmacy students, externs, and technicians while supporting departmental training initiatives
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and medication-use evaluations
  • Support pharmacy operations including inventory oversight and medication management processes
  • Rotate through specialty clinical areas including ED, ICU, and stewardship services as needed

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
  • PharmD preferred
  • Active Pharmacist license required
  • ONE of the following:
    • Completion of a PGY1 Residency
      OR
    • Minimum of 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Experience with multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced clinical certifications
  • Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
  • Antimicrobial stewardship experienceli>
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, SIDP, or BCIDP certifications are a plus depending on assigned practice area

Location & Schedule

This is a full-time onsite opportunity located in State College with day shift scheduling and rotating weekends.
