Craft Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and create individualized therapy strategies aimed at achieving their personal functional goals
Implement Therapeutic Activities: Leverage evidence-based methods to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily activities
Engage with Diverse Teams: Work in partnership with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver comprehensive and holistic patient care
Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and their families through therapy techniques to facilitate sustained progress outside of clinical settings
Track Progress and Adapt Treatments: Monitor clinical outcomes and modify interventions when necessary to keep patients on their path
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
Ongoing education and post-graduate certifications highly valued and supported
Current active license as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L)
NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification mandatory
A deep passion for helping others achieve their greatest level of independence
Strong communication skills that are empathetic and clear with patients and team members alike
Creative problem-solving abilities to adapt approaches for each unique need
