Clinical Nutrition Manager

Position Overview

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team as a Clinical Nutrition Manager at Outer Banks Health, a 25‑bed critical access hospital located in the beautiful coastal community of Nags Head, North Carolina—just a block from the ocean! You will be the sole Dietitian on‑site, delivering high‑quality nutrition care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for comprehensive nutrition assessments, reassessments, and counseling of general and complex patients and their families per the Nutrition Care Process model.
• Actively participate in daily multidisciplinary rounding with care team members.
• Provide education to patients, staff, and community through wellness presentations as assigned.
• Provide day‑to‑day management of the clinical nutrition program.
• Support ongoing Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects.
• Ensure regulatory and company standards are being upheld.

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian credentials and licensure in NC.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Experience with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care.
• Strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.

Additional Requirements

• Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND.
• Meet eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states/facilities, RD/RDN credentials may be required at the time of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states/facilities, state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
• Minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
• Minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as an experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners.
