Shift Details

7:30 AM – 6:00 PM with call.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing care standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver, in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care, assessing patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Given that this is a safety‑sensitive position, the RN must maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree.
• Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU, ED, IR, or Cath Lab.
• Supervisor Experience: None required.

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: Preferred but not required.
