Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20

Hourly Range: $33.00 - $33.99

The Clinical Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements, and manages the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care, focusing on progress toward discharge, including during transitions within the acute care stay. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the delivery and coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring competent, compassionate care is provided to patients, referring facilities, and hospital staff in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatment as required by policy and regulations.
2. Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
3. Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care.
4. Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
5. Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
6. Administers medications as ordered.
7. Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
8. Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree.
2. Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
3. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
4. Previous experience as a PCA or nursing assistant preferred.
5. Commitment to continuing education for job performance improvement.
6. Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools for quality improvement.
