Mount Sinai Morningside and West is seeking a full-time Clinical Nephrologist at the Assistant Professor level to join its Division of Nephrology. This role focuses on delivering outstanding clinical care, educating house staff and physician assistants, and advancing knowledge through clinical research. Practice Info

  • The Division of Nephrology of Mount Sinai Morningside and West is comprised of 7 full-time and 3 part-time nephrologists, 7 physician assistants, and 1 nurse practitioner.
  • The division is the principal provider of Nephrology services on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
  • Clinical activities encompass busy outpatient faculty practices centered on CKD management.
  • Supervision of outpatient dialysis and medical directorship of dialysis centers on the Upper West Side.
  • Inpatient consultations at both Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West Hospitals.
  • Faculty members hold academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with experience and teach and supervise physician assistants and Internal Medicine house staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care in a high-functioning setting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of a world-class health system.
  • Deliver outstanding clinical care in all aspects of Nephrology.
  • Be outstanding educators of house staff and physician assistants.
  • Advance knowledge in the field of Nephrology through clinical research.
  • Supervise outpatient dialysis and provide medical directorship of dialysis centers.
  • Conduct inpatient consultations at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West Hospitals.
  • Teach and supervise physician assistants and Internal Medicine house staff.

Compensation

  • Compensation range from $278,000 to $279,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
  • Highly competitive salary and incentive based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
  • New York Medical License.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Nephrology.
