Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for an innovative molecular diagnostics laboratory in Eden Prairie, Minnesota . This is a temp-to-hire, full-time, onsite opportunity working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM .
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career laboratory professional to gain hands-on experience within a high-complexity, CLIA-certified molecular diagnostics environment while contributing to accurate and timely clinical testing.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will perform hands-on clinical bench work across multiple areas of a molecular diagnostics laboratory. Responsibilities include specimen accessioning, DNA extraction, PCR testing, post-PCR processing, reagent preparation, quality control, and laboratory documentation.
Working as part of a collaborative laboratory team, this position will follow established procedures to support accurate testing, specimen integrity, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. The role is well suited for a laboratory professional with 1-4 years of relevant experience who is interested in continuing to develop their clinical and molecular laboratory skills.

- Perform hands-on clinical bench testing, including specimen accessioning, DNA extraction, PCR testing, post-PCR processing, and reagent preparation, following established standard operating procedures.
- Verify patient specimens, identify discrepancies, and accurately maintain laboratory documentation and information systems.
- Support assay processing, quality control activities, and accurate documentation of testing results.
- Follow established CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, laboratory safety, and quality standards.
- Assist with troubleshooting, equipment monitoring, laboratory maintenance, and routine laboratory housekeeping.
- Participate in laboratory meetings, training, special projects, and continuous process improvement activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related life sciences field required.
- 1-4 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably within a clinical, molecular, diagnostic, or similarly regulated laboratory environment.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with DNA extraction, PCR, molecular testing, specimen processing, or related bench techniques preferred.
- Experience with laboratory information systems, clinical documentation, or data entry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
