Location: Bartow Medical Center – Bartow, FL Facility: BayCare Health System, Laboratory Services – BRMC Shift: 12 Hour Shift Schedule: Part Time | On-site Status: Non-Exempt | Non-Benefit Eligible Weekend Requirement: Every Other Saturday

Role Overview
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will perform essential diagnostic testing and quality control procedures supporting accurate and timely patient results. This role includes moderate‑ to high‑complexity testing, maintaining laboratory systems and equipment, prepping reagents, and contributing to a smooth, efficient laboratory workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures
- Prepare reagents and accurately report laboratory results
- Review and oversee moderate‑ to high‑complexity testing
- Monitor and maintain laboratory computer applications
- Maintain equipment, instruments, and supply inventory
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively within the laboratory and across clinical teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education – Required
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related scientific field
Education – Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field
Certification & Licensure – Required
- State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
Experience – Required
- Minimum of four (4) months of Clinical laboratory experience
