Our client, a highly regarded healthcare organization on the South Shore of Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Manager to oversee operations across multiple outpatient laboratory locations.
This leadership opportunity is available due to the planned retirement of the current manager and offers the chance to lead an established team while helping shape the future of laboratory services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laboratory operations, staffing, workflow, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and develop a team of 16 laboratory professionals.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
- Maintain inspection readiness and support accreditation activities.Manage quality assurance, safety, and process improvement initiatives.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel.
- Serve as a technical resource for Chemistry and Hematology operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- ASCP certification (MT/MLS) required.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on Chemistry and Hematology experience.
- At least 3 years of laboratory leadership experience in a CLIA-regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, and laboratory quality standards.
