Position Details

Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) is accepting applications for a clinical generalist pharmacist. The clinical generalist will provide pharmaceutical care services to the acute care patients of PRMC and Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Clinical generalists rotate through clinical and distribution services, but are expected to spend >70% of the month in a clinical pharmacist role. They will be involved in multidisciplinary rounding 7 days per week, pharmacy consult services, medication monitoring, documentation of medication therapy, advising physicians, providing accurate drug information, reviewing and verifying medication orders, overseeing preparation and dispensing activities, and systems management. Acute care consults include dosing and monitoring anticoagulants, antimicrobials, total parenteral nutrition, patient‑controlled analgesia, and other therapies. The position offers mentorship opportunities with pharmacy students and residents.

Schedule & Compensation

The role is a 0.8 FTE position with full‑time benefits. It follows a 7‑on/7‑off schedule, with standard weeks scheduled Wednesday to Tuesday. Weekend shifts are two 12‑hour shifts; weekday shifts are 8 hours. Evening shifts are expected every 4th week or every 8th week per calendar. Six recognized holidays are provided by Parkview Health, and the pharmacist may be responsible for up to two holidays each year. Salary and sign‑on bonus are negotiable. Relocation costs are provided.

Position Qualifications

Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE‑accredited institution and have completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency or hold equivalent experience. Pharmacy licensure or eligibility in Indiana is required. Candidates should have a high level of clinical practice skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, health professionals, and patients.
