About the CMS Drug Price Negotiation Program

Through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, CMS now directly negotiates prices for select high‑cost drugs. As part of this effort, CMS engages independent clinical experts to gather perspectives on the clinical use, effectiveness, and value of these therapies. Clinicians provide insight into real‑world treatment considerations but are not involved in any price‑setting discussions or negotiations.
