As a Clinical Engineer Technician II Ambulatory at MedStar Health, you will support safe, reliable operation of clinical equipment across ambulatory and outpatient settings. You will perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on biomedical devices, document work in CMMS, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You’ll collaborate closely with clinical staff to resolve equipment issues, support new technology rollouts, and help train users, contributing to high-quality, patient-centered care across a leading regional health system.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of ambulatory clinical and biomedical equipment
- Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and coordinate vendor service when needed
- Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, infection control, and regulatory standards for medical devices
- Support installation, setup, and acceptance testing of new equipment in ambulatory clinics
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime
- Provide basic user training and guidance on proper operation and care of equipment
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent service requests as assigned
