We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Director to manage the continuum of training and operations within the Clinical Department, which will include the development and implementation of employee training programs, patient workshops, and clinical operations.

Job Functions:

  • Provides leadership in complying with Joint Commission, DDAP and regulatory standards.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining written objectives, policies and procedures, an organizational plan, and a quality assurance program, reviewed by the CEO, for substance abuse counseling services.
  • Ensures that the behavioral and pharmacologic approaches to treatment are evidence based or based on objective information to provide treatment services consistent with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level of care and type of patient served by the program.
  • Provides or ensures that direct clinical supervision is provided at least one hour per week to all clinical staff, individually or in a group setting, with group supervision not to exceed 50 percent of supervision time.
  • Reviews patient grievances and addresses any concerns to assure resolution in a timely manner.
  • Conduct monthly Clinical Staff Meetings.
  • Lead Master Treatment Plan meetings, reviewing all current patients in treatment.
  • Serves 24-hour calls for emergencies
  • Develops clinical programming to adapt to patient needs and best practice outcomes.
  • Defines clinical programming for patients and trains clinical team on the implementation of programs.
  • Institutes and provides oversight to clinical program schedule to ensure weekday and weekend programs.
  • Creates workgroup programs to meet patient needs and sustain patient engagement.
  • Ensures PCTs on all shifts are familiar with patient safety protocols by conducting on-going training.
  • Oversees all clinical employee training and ensures competencies are adhered on an annual basis.
  • Creates an evidence-based treatment clinical program to include best practices.
  • Collaborates with leadership in the interdisciplinary plan of care functions.
  • Maintains visibility in all areas on all shifts through rounding and regularly scheduled staff meetings.

Knowledge & Education:

  • Master's Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or other related field and 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes 1 year of working directly with the chemically dependent.
  • Full certification as an addiction's counselor by a state-wide certification board, Texas or other state, or a national certification body.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience as a supervisor or completion of a core curriculum in clinical supervision.
