Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist

The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician to join The Mount Sinai Hospital as a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor within the Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital. This role offers an opportunity to join a high-volume, internationally recognized EP program featuring state-of-the-art laboratories and advanced mapping and ablation technologies. Physicians will engage in a diverse patient population while participating in clinical practice, research, and education at the Icahn School of Medicine.

• Cardiology practice with a diverse patient population

Responsibilities

• Full-spectrum EP practice, including catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias (AF, VT), pulsed-field ablation, CIED implantation and lead management, and left atrial appendage occlusion, with inpatient consultation and outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Protected time and infrastructure for clinical and translational research, including participation in first-in-human and multicenter trials, with mentorship toward independent investigation and extramural funding
• Active role in the education of CCEP fellows, cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students, including procedural supervision and didactic conferences

Compensation

• Compensation range from $400,000 to $475,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
• Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need
• Bonuses / incentive compensation available

Requirements

• MD, DO, or equivalent
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited CCEP fellowship by [start date]
• ABIM certification in Cardiovascular Disease; board certified or eligible in CCEP
• Eligibility for New York State medical licensure
• Demonstrated interest in academic medicine and scholarly productivity
