Description
The Pathology Department is seeking a full-time Clinical Associate/Staff Pathologist for Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC, with experience in anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP) and hematopathology.
The pathologist shall provide services to Johns Hopkins patients in a competent, full, and complete manner consistent with the quality of care prevailing in medical practice, exercising independent medical judgment in accordance with approved methods and best interests of patients.
Responsibilities
- Clinical work: assigned cases, patient result sign-out, medical records, peer review activity, and regulatory oversight.
- Administrative services: teaching, support research, medical direction, and other management functions.
- Programmatic duties: utilization review, quality assurance activities, and compliance with government and quasi-government agencies.
Qualifications
- MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree. Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.
- Valid medical licensure in Maryland and the District of Columbia; current registration with federal and state agencies such as the DEA, Maryland Division of Drug Control, and the District of Columbia Department of Health.
- Unrestricted privileges on the medical staff at the assigned facilities.
- Ability to maintain background checks and comply with security protocols.
