Your Role on the Team

We are recruiting a gastroenterologist with an interest in General GI. The candidate should have expertise in disease or treatment groups such as IBS, GERD, and colon cancer screening. Candidates must be competent in performing EGD and colonoscopy with polypectomy. Proficiency in ERCP and/or EUS is not required. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Primary responsibilities may include Emergency Department and inpatient coverage and expanding outpatient clinical care at UCI Health community clinical sites in Los Alamitos and other UCI locations.

  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives while in compliance with all UC policies and procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state and federal privacy laws.
  • Leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers to maintain a professional, team‑based approach in the care of patients.
  • Candidates must possess a M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Board‑certified and have California licensure.
  • Active and current DEA certification.

Total Compensation

In addition to the salary range listed below, UCI offers a range of benefits, including medical insurance, sick and vacation time, retirement savings plans, and access to discounts and perks. The base salary compensation range for a Clinical Associate is $485,000-$550,000 . Candidates have the potential to earn additional compensation with incentive eligibility on top of the base salary contingent on performance and responsibilities.
