Clinical Assistant Professor – University of Georgia
The School of Computing at the University of Georgia invites applications for one full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure‑track Clinical Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2026. The class will be housed in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
Position Summary
This position involves teaching courses and classes, as well as a combination of corporate outreach, program coordination, and research with an emphasis on applied and/or pedagogy‑related scholarship.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of Computing. • Develop and conduct research projects related to teaching effectiveness or professional development. • Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners to provide internships and career‑development opportunities for students. • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and faculty‐level projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field supporting student career preparation through corporate partnerships or career‑development curricula.
Additional Requirements
A candidate with a lesser degree but a significantly longer record of professional work and accomplishments may be considered. Candidates without a terminal degree must document exceptional accomplishments and receive approval for a terminal‑degree exception prior to hire.
